Australian veteran-owned SME Mellori Solutions is partnering with Raytheon Australia to deliver Electronic Warfare (EW) systems training services for the Australian Army’s Project Land 555 Phase 6.
Land 555 Phase 6 is part of the broader Land Force Level Electronic Warfare project, aimed at equipping the Army with state-of-the-art capabilities to navigate and dominate in complex electromagnetic environments. The Australian Government awarded delivery of the Force Level Electronic Warfare System (FLEWS-L) project to Raytheon Australia in July 2022.
Mellori Solutions will provide expert training services to Army personnel for C5ISR Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS) equipment and sensors.
These systems are integral to the Army’s Bushmaster Protected Mobility Vehicles and are essential in delivering FLEWS-L capabilities to the 7th Signal Regiment.
“This is a great opportunity to work alongside Raytheon Australia on such a critical project,” said Mellori Solutions General Manager David Devine.
“Our team is committed to delivering top-tier training for the EW systems that are vital for the Australian Army. This partnership not only highlights our expertise in the field but also our dedication to enhancing Australia’s defence capabilities.”
The FLEWS-L system is a cornerstone in enabling the Australian Army to effectively integrate with Joint, Allied or Coalition EW systems. This collaboration is essential for gaining a comprehensive situational understanding of detected electromagnetic emissions and enhancing awareness of the electromagnetic spectrum in the joint battlespace.
“Our involvement in the LAND 555 Phase 6 Program is about providing training that ultimately helps strengthen one of our nation’s key defence technologies. By enhancing the Australian Army’s expertise in modern-day EW, we are helping to make a safer, more secure Australia.
“Through this project, Mellori Solutions is supporting the ADF and contributing significantly to the Australian defence industry. We are proud to be part of an initiative that bolsters our sovereign defence industrial base and fosters the growth of local skills and expertise,” said Devine.
Mellori Solutions was recently selected to participate in Raytheon Australia’s Capability Plus program. This industry leading small and medium enterprise (SME) engagement program is designed to bolster SME capability to support Australia’s defence.
