About the role:  

Reporting to the Manager – Testing & Technology (NSW), your main responsibilities will include:

  • Operating RF & EW equipment in both laboratory and field deployed environments in support of test and trial activities
  • Assisting with the preparation and planning of deployments
  • Conducting post deployment activities including report writing
  • Carrying out system inspections and calibrations in accordance with system specifications and contract schedules
  • Managing laboratory test equipment calibration schedules
  • Planning and scheduling system maintenance upgrades
  • Troubleshooting, investigating, diagnosing, and solving specialised systems software and hardware faults
  • Writing procedures and processes for operating equipment as required
  • Providing technical support to customers and clients
  • Working closely with the engineering team to execute projects and assist with general electronics including hardware integration, PCB assembly, and testing activities


To succeed in the role, you will have: 

  • Sound working knowledge of electronics, radiofrequency, and microwave signals
  • A background and understanding of digital and analogue electronics
  • Cabling, hardware, and PCB assembly skills
  • Experience with RF testing and verification processes
  • Skills in technical writing and reporting
  • An Australian government security clearance up to NV2, or be willing to obtain one (must hold Australian Citizenship)
  • A willingness to travel for deployment
  • A positive, solutions focused outlook
  • The ability to build trust and effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders
